Welcome to Mindful Health, Hypnotherapy & Counselling.
Lee-Anne is a clinical hypnotherapist specialising in Medical Hypnoanalysis. After obtaining her Psychology degree with First Class Honours Lee-Anne has been helping people in the community for over 15 years.
Lee-Anne has worked closely within the Western Australian Government in Perth in community drug and alcohol program development for both rural and Perth metropolitan area for communities wanting to address substance abuse. In addition, Lee-Anne has managed Perth Government Agencies designed to therapeutically support community, family members and substance users. Lee-Anne was also involved with the QUIT line for people wanting support to stop smoking.
During her career, Lee-Anne became very aware of the co-morbidity issues associated with addiction such as anxiety and depression and these are areas of great attention to Lee-Anne. Often it is not just the substance user who suffers from anxiety and depression but also the family members who can be deeply affected by severe long-term stress, depression and anxiety.
Lee-Anne recognises the value and effectiveness of hypnosis for bringing out underlying issues for mental health concerns and embraces the modality to further assist individuals, couples and families.
Lee-Anne’s experience with hypnosis in particular hypnoanalysis allows the opportunity to utilise this effective technique in all areas of change. This drug – free approach is developing as a popular method for managing issues besides addictions and mental health to include areas of personal growth. Hypnoanalysis is very effective for increasing performance in sport, business, public speaking, exams and learning for both children and adults. Furthermore, hypnosis therapy is very effective for chronic pain management, sexual concerns, weight loss, bedwetting, insomnia, teeth grinding and migraines as some examples. Lee-Anne’s Honours research thesis topic was ‘understanding the experiences of women who birthed at home’. As a mother of 4 children herself, Lee-Anne also experienced a home birth and had a desire to conduct the research to ensure that other women became aware that there are alternatives to the current options and to encourage women to make informed decisions about birthing options. Therefore Lee-Anne’s further specialises in supporting pregnant women to birth naturally and pain-free by teaching hypnosis to pregnant women seeking a pain-free birth experience regardless of where they choose to birth their baby.
The Mindful Health Hypnotherapy and Counselling Centre has been created to provide a safe therapeutic space for individuals to feel supported through hypnosis, Medical hypnoanalysis, group work and counselling which is focused on well-being for mind, body and spirit.
